Nintendo News | NIBRIS Releases Sadness Art

NIBRIS, an independent developer based in Poland who we recently covered in the second issue of The Indie Scene (here), has revealed to Cubed3 some artwork of a character from their gothic horror game, Sadness. The character is named Maria (hence the perhaps slightly obscure Blondie reference in the subtitle), but it is not yet known what role she will play in the game.

Sadness is a gothic horror title that is being kept under wraps as a confidential project for now. It will be a game for adult players only (strong nerves are a must) and will feature themes of paranoid schizophrenia, narcolepsy (a disorder that causes sufferers to uncontrollably fall asleep) and nyctophobia (the fear of darkness and the night).

Ooh... a period video-game...

Should be interesting, in my experience Indie developers are those who are more perfectionist and passionate about their work, not the profit from it.
