Thankfully, the industry does now seem to be getting more respect, and news coming from London today seems to confirm that. ELSPA and TIGA have announced the creation of the London Games Festival, a week-long cultural and business celebration of all things video gaming. Created with the help of the London Development Association and BAFTA, the LGF (fun acronym) will bring together a number of great events throughout the city from Monday 2nd October 2006.
ELSPA, TIGA and BAFTA will all be bringing elements to the Festival, with other media, government and games publishing hob-knobs also expected to confirm additional business and consumer events in the not-too-distant future. ELSPA and TIGA are holding hands and creating the London Games Summit which will run on the 4th and 5th of October whilst the Content Market will fun for two days on the 3rd and 4th.
