But Square Enix today has spoken up on the subject, claiming that the reworked game will take advantage of the two screens by displaying map data on the bottom and the main action on the top. Somewhat disappointingly, though, it also mentioned that the graphical level will be akin to that of Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls on the GBA. Whilst this means that the visuals will be brought up to the level found in SNES game FFVI, rather than the shoddy old NES stylings of the original FFIII, considering the extra power of the DS over the GBA, this is quite shocking.

With no release date even hinted at yet, however, we can only hope that matters change...
