FIFA Soccer Gets Street Treatment...
...Football Goes Crazy!


After the massive success of the NBA Street series, which itself is about to enter its third round later this year, Electronic Arts then decided to take its NFL series in the same direction. However, amongst idle joking about games like Street Cricket or Street Tiddlywinks, some of us laughingly threw out the idea of Street Football (Soccer).

But now it looks like we must wipe those goofy grins from our faces as EA has now officially announced that the odd-sounding 'FIFA Street' is an actuality, with its Canadian arm holding the development reins. The title will feature four-a-side matches across various 'street' locations and will be an opportunity to fulfil the desire felt by many gamers to exploit the skill potential of the players at hand.

As the game progresses, gamers will be tested to see how they can improve on their abilities, techniques and individual style / flair.

Look out for this on Nintendo GameCubes everywhere in Europe 2005.
