Whatever people may have to say about the quality of Sonic's games, the music has usually always been of a consistently high standard. From the iconic 16-bit soundtracks that everyone knows and loves, to vocalised heavy metal pieces that make up the themes of the Dreamcast titles, to the cheesy lyrical madness of Knuckles' levels, to the free sounds of the happy-go-lucky and not-a-care-in-the-world stage tunes of recent games, there is something for everyone, and usually a lot to love. It is difficult to pick out the definitive best tracks of the entire series, so let's just call these 25 of the best.
