Nintendo has laid out its plans for E3 2016, which are fairly straightforward this year. There was no mention of a press conference, Digital Event or Nintendo Direct, but a special Nintendo Treehouse: Live event is taking place on Tuesday, 14th June at 17:00 BST via Twitch, hosted by Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime.
This will be the first in-depth look at the eagerly anticipated Wii U title in The Legend of Zelda series, which will include commentaries by Nintendo developers, behind-the-scenes info and lots of game coverage.
People who attend this year's E3 event in Los Angeles will be able to go hands on with The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, which will be the company's only playable offering this year. It is quite the departure from the developer's press conferences and the popular Nintendo Direct formula that Nintendo has been known for. But with such a huge title, is The Legend of Zelda all that Nintendo needs to win this year's E3?
