Marin to Join Hyrule Warriors as DLC on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has announced that Marin from Link's Awakening will be a playable DLC character for both versions of Hyrule Warriors on Wii U and 3DS.

The company previously confirmed that various DLC packs centred around certain games in the series will release this year, and Marin comes as part of the classic Game Boy and Game Boy Color title's package.

Aside from official artwork of her, no other details are available right now, but we will share more as we hear them.

This is wonderful news. If I couldn't have Malon, it was always going to be Marin. She looks beautiful.

I approve of this addition! I really liked her when I was young and played this game. A really well-made character. I hope one of her attacks transforms her into a seagull. Smilie

The difference between illusion and reality is vague to the one who suffers from the former and questionable for the one suffering form the later.

Maybe Marin will get a Malon-inspired costume? I'd love that!

That sounds very likely. Still think Malon can have a potentially cool farm-themed moveset, but a Malon costume for Marin at least makes sense, since she was a reference to Marin.

I want to see Link holding her up in the air with the treasure fanfare playing XD !!

Methinks she'll use a shovel as primary weapon, and probably a fishing rod.

And maybe a super attack where a crane from a crane game comes and grabs all enemies on screen and takes them to heaven XD.

If the aforementioned turns out true, I CALLED IT !!

I hope the fishing rod kills enemies by teleporting them around to the wrong places in the state of messed up glitch blocks. Smilie

The Yoshi doll better make a cameo in some form!

Looks like it's the Sea Lilly Bell she'll be using
