The Flame in the Flood is All About Survival

By Jorge Ba-oh 11.02.2016 1

Join a girl and her dog with The Flame in the Flood, due for release later this month.

Developed by former staff who worked on BioStock, Rock Band, Halo and Guitar Hero, the game is pitched as an adventure with a young girl and her faithful companion, as the duo explore "post-societal America." It's all about survival, as you craft weapons and tools, foraging the landscape for some essentials.

The latest trailer for the striking title explains just how to use the most of what you have to survive in the wilderness, including tips on fending off wolves and what not to do around snakes.

The Flame in the Flood will be available on PC, Mac and Xbox One from 24th February.

Looks interesting, I like the art direction. Kind of tired of the "survival" genre though, personally. Hopefully this one can offer up something a bit more unique and fresh.
