Nintendo's World Store will be getting a massive makeover later this month with a completely new feel.

The Nintendo World Store in New York has two floors of entertainment, lounge areas and a wide range of exclusive merchandise to spend those fresh dollar bills on

The shop will be temporarily closing it's doors for a month beginning 19th January, Nintendo confirmed today. The whole building will be swallowing a hearty power-up mushroom with a 15 foot gaming screen to be installed, new demo units and a large bronze coin at the entrance.

The re-opening weekend (February 19th to 21st) will include fun activities, giveaways and limited edition merch that's exclusive to that weekend. New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U games will also be available to try out as part of the overhaul.

The potentially bigger news is that the store is getting a name change from "Nintendo World Store" to "Nintendo New York" which is leading many to believe other stores are now planned.
