Sonic Goes Retro in 25th Anniversary Logo on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

It's been 25 years since Sega game birth to the iconic blue hedgehog, Sonic.

Some icons have a brief stint in the spotlight, a game or two, but others can sail through time with a strong fanbase. One of these mascots is Sonic the Hedgehog, the cheeky, hot-dog scoffing face of Japanese publisher, SEGA, for a quarter of a century.

Whilst he now bares green, slightly drugged, eyes and longer spikes, Sonic reverts back to his classic look in the logo for his anniversary.

Not much is known when it comes to just how SEGA will be celebrating, though, but here's hoping for a game or two that perhaps doesn't bomb hard - we're looking at you, Sonic Boom.

How should SEGA celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog?
