Nintendo has named Tatsumi Kimishima as the successor to the late Satoru Iwata as company president.
Iwata, who passed away in July, had been the face of Nintendo for 13 years, in both business and as a consumer-facing man of knowledge.
As of 16th September, Kimishima becomes Representative Director and President, having led the HR department and, more notably, being president of Nintendo of America from January 2002 until May 2006.
Kimishima has also been credited in various games - the Mario Party series (5-8), in particular, along with Metroid Prime and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of numerous Nintendo franchises, will be "Creative Fellow," whilst Genyo Takeda takes on the "Technology Fellow" role. Current Directors Shigeyuki Takahashi, Satoshi Yamato and Shinya Takahashi have also received new titles in the changes of directors.
