The Wii U GamePad allows seasoned Mario fans and newcomers to create their own levels on the controller by plopping platforms and characters onto a side-scrolling stage. Super Mario Maker also includes a nifty artbook with stage inspiration and codes that play a video when popped into the game.
A dedicated, retro Mario amiibo figure will allow the porky plumber to nab a Big Mushroom and stomp through levels, whilst the Mystery Mushroom (unlocked by tapping amiibo) allows Mario to take on pixel costumes from these characters.
Super Mario Maker game and the 30th Anniversary amiibo launch the 11th of September in North America and Winter in Europe.
