Mermaid and Motobike Transformations in Yoshi's Woolly World

Nintendo have shared new details for charming Wii U platfomer, Yoshi's Woolly World.

Nintendo's exuberant dinosaur returns to the side-scrolling platform scene once again, with the game launching on Wii U on 26th June in Europe.

The adventure will contain over 50 "knitted" levels packed full of surprises and collectibles, as Yoshi plods onto Craft island to save fellow dinosaurs from the devious Kamek. What's the wizard done this time? Well, using dark magic, Kamek has transformed the Yoshi into balls of yarn - but is all as it seems...?

Flutter Jump, Ground Pound and gobble up knitted enemies to break through obstacles, plus transform for different abilities - including Mermaid Yoshi, Sky Pop Yoshi and even a motorbike form as Moto Yoshi. 

Yoshi's Woolly World will also contain a "Mellow Mode", where players transform into Winged Yoshi - making the challenge a tad bit easier to manage. There's also the option for co-operative play, allowing a second player to flutter jump into action.

amiibo, which will be available at launch, will allow players to play solo with Double Yoshi - by simply plopping one of these figures onto the GamePad.
