Over in the US, Nintendo will be holding a messy event in Santa Monica to celebrate the launch of Splatoon.

Announced today, the "Splatoon Mess Fest" will feature various celebrities competing in a challenging, Splatoon-themed obstacle course. There'll also be a handful of playable demos and giveaways during the day.

The event takes place at the Santa Monica Pier Parking Deck on Friday, 15th May from 11am to 7pm. Want to know more? Well, watch this space, but for now here's a nifty teaser trailer for fans wanting to get their squid on next month.
