Splatoon amiibo Releasing Alongside Game

Nintendo have confirmed that a special range of amiibo will be compatible with Splatoon upon its release on 29th May.

Three special amiibo will be released: the Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl and Inkling Squid.

Scanning the amiibo unlocks special missions for the player to unlock equipment and gear for their Inkling.

While in Europe all three amiibo will be sold separately, in North America the Inkling Squid amiibo is only available as part of a deluxe package of all three figurines. The Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl amiibo will still be available individually.

Europe will also receive a special deluxe edition of Splatoon featuring an Inkling Squid amiibo packed in.
