3DS Update Adds 8 Home Screen Layouts

The latest 3DS firmware update adds the option to save different layouts for the 3DS homescreen.

Nintendo are continuing to add even more functionality to the portable system, letting owners have a little more individuality and personaliation.

The new layout function now lets users save and load up to eight different sets of themes/icon combinations. For those with standard 3DS/XL and 2DS consoles, Nintendo have also included amiibo settings for when the external amiibo reader is launched later this year.

Additional changes to firmware 9.6.0-24U include extra categories for the theme shop, plus the usual enhancements to system stability.
