A whole wealth of new details, weapon and trailers for Nintendo's upcoming Wii U shooter, Splatoon.
Due to launch this May, the game features four-on-four online team matches, single player mode and a whole slew of ink-spewing weapons to use. From rapid-firing ink guns to rollers, ink bombs to sprinklers, there are a wide number of tools to use as part of the frantic, strategic battles.
Also confirmed today is the inclusion of "Ranked Battle," which will tally how well players have been doing online. This particular feature is only accessible once players have achieved level 10 during Turf War online matches. In order to accommodate a sizable chunk of players, Ranked Battles will only be available once a big-enough part of the community have achieved Level 10.
One of the modes available in "Ranked Battle", includes "Splat Zones," a ruleset that sees players setting out to control specific areas of the map with ink blasts.
Nintendo also showcased some new stages today, Walleye Warehouse, Saltspray Rig and Blackbelly Skatepark in a trailer today.
In Japan, Nintendo also uploaded a trailer of a new long-range weapon that's used like a sniper with charge ability.
