Dementium Confirmed for 3DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Dementium: The Ward, a survival horror game originally released on the DS, is getting an enhanced remake for release on the 3DS eShop.

Renegade Kid, the studio known for (among other things) bringing atmospheric first-person tales to Nintendo's handhelds, aims to improve on the game by featuring a better save system, but also to include features geared toward fans of the original game's difficulty. They're also aiming for a 60 FPS framerate.

The game's sequel, Dementium II, could also see an eShop release at some point.

A third game is still planned, but game director Jools Watsham has stated that it won't come to fruition anytime soon.

I sure hope they fix the map system and make environments a bit less repetitive, that was my primary gripe with the first game. I might be in for a purchase if they fix what I thought was wrong with it, I always thought it had great but wasted potential.

Why couldn't it be the 2nd game ?

first game was so barren and plain.

I agree and that's I why I see in that more reason to pick the first one, as that gives them the opportunity to fix all the stuff that needed to be fixed and bring a more homogenic quality to the overall series and we can all forget about the bland first game Smilie.

Nice I loved the first 2 & will definitely support RK by buying both of these on the eShop. Looking forward to Dementium 3 since 2 left on a cliffhanger twist ending.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
