Nintendo have, after some time, responded to rumours of the GameCube Controller Adapter's demise.
The much sought-after peripheral, which allows players to use classic GameCube controllers with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, has been sold out across Europe and the UK since launch.
After keeping quiet, Nintendo UK have issued a statement to the press, confirming that the adapter is not discontinued and the team are "doing everything we possibly can to meet the demand which is currently outstripping supply."
Nintendo are urging consumers to "contact their local retailers directly regarding their availability of this product" and are "working hard to ensure that additional stock can be made available and delivered to retailers."
It's uncertain when the additional stock will become available, however.
