Mega Rayquaza Banned from Uber Tier

Mega Rayquaza, a new upgraded Pokémon in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has been banned by Smogon University.

The "Uber Tier" is a ranking given to various critters that were deemed too powerful for regular battles, with fans taking part in tournaments that adhere to the Uber rules - essentially allowing players to use any Pokémon, including those who are too powerful.

However, it seems that Mega Rayquaza is simply too powerful for even the Uber Tier, and so a new category - Anything Goes - has been opened up to allow the likes of Mega Rayquaza to be used.

For those unfamiliar, Smogon University is a dedicated website/community whose main aim is to specialise in the competitive Pokémon scene.
