Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has taken to Miiverse to discuss The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D project.
Since announcing the project during Nintendo Direct last week, Aonuma has explained how the game came about. Majora's Mask 3D was in development "almost immediately after we finished working on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, which was released in June of 2011," he confirmed.
Despite having worked on the project for some time, Aonuma noted how the team didn't want to make any announcements until "we could proudly say that this is not going to be just another remake and that it's going to be worth your time."
That said, Aonuma would consistently tease "please wait a bit longer!" when asked by press and fans.
Nintendo want to make sure "the gameplay experience is smoother than in the original version without taking away from this unique world," and Aonuma hopes those that may have given up on the original would "take this opportunity to give the new version a try."
The team aren't tainting the game's look, so The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D will still have "a scary vibe", with Aonuma warning, "Brace yourselves for what this world has to offer!"

Nintendo will be posting more details closer to release on Miiverse.
