Amiibo Costumes Confirmed for Mario Kart 8 on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The previously rumoured amiibo functionality has been confirmed for Mario Kart 8, with costumes for Mii characters.

How will Nintendo's figures be integrated into Mario Kart 8? Those who pop on an amiibo character onto the GamePad will be able unlock a variety of different costumes for Mii characters - including: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Kirby, Captain Falcon, Samus and Fox McCloud.
