Here are the Online Features in Smash Bros. for Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Just what online features will Super Smash Bros. for Wii U have? Nintendo have outlined some of the game's functionality.

First up, the Wii U edition of the game will contain similar online features to the 3DS outing - public, friend matches, and also allow for two players to team up and take on the world together. There'll also be the inclusion of voice chat (via the GamePad) before and after battles; but unavailable during a fight for network reasons. Nintendo are also planning tournaments - both fan and official - in a future update.

As for content sharing, Nintendo will allow players to share their stage creations post-release, via an upcoming game update.

Pah no voice chat for 'network reasons' sounds like absolute shite to me but nonetheless I don't care to talk to people while playing anyway! 

It it concerns me though that some modes like tourney aren't completed...will this be coming along in the near future or coming along in the near future TVii style?

Looking forward to official Miiverse tournaments!

There were a whole bunch of official Miiverse Mario Kart 8 tournaments over the summer that were really fun.
