Capcom have released new information on the 3DS upcoming Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate today at TGS 2014. As well as a new trailer, two cameos have also been unveiled: Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog and the drum from Namco's Taiko Drum Master.

The Sonic cameo comes in the form of armour for the game's Palicos - a type of Felyne that can assist players on a hunt - as well as a weapon for them styled after the Caliburn sword from 2009 Wii game Sonic and the Black Knight.

The Taiko drum appears as a stylised hunting horn.

You can see official artwork for the cameos as well as a new trailer and TV spots below.

Holy CRAP this game looks absolutely MASSIVE!! It's been a while since I've seen so many new monster types introduced in a Monster Hunter game. Definitely preordering the USA Collector's Edition. Feel free to ask for my 3DS FC if anyone here wants to hunt. I live in Arizona so I pretty much use Pacific Standard time without the hassle of daylight savings time.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
