A Rite from the Stars Funded for Wii U on Kickstarter

3D adventure game A Rite from the Stars has met its initial Kickstarter target, with a Wii U version planned.

Inspired by the likes of The Cave, Broken Sword, Loom and Gemini Rue, the game is pitched as a "Point & Click adventure set in a paradisiacal yet dangerous environment: The Mystical Island of Kaikala." Featuring a mute kid known as Kirm, who embarks on a rite of passage, chosen by the stars to become a legend among his peers.

The game features the traditional point and click mechanics, with three distinct paths for the player to take, with unique mechanics along each route and alternative endings.
