Mega Slowbro Officially Confirmed for Pokémon

Nintendo have officially announced Mega Slowbro for the upcoming Pokémon games.

Whilst the evolved form was leaked last week, Nintendo have officially confirmed the Mega-Evolved form of Slowbro during the Pokémon World Championships over the weekend. Series producer Junichi Masuda showcased the critter with a video during the event.

When Slowbro Mega Evolves, its energy gathers into the Shellder clamped onto its tail to increase its defense. It comes with "Shell Armor Ability," to prevent critical hits from opponents, plus also sees an increase in special attack stats.

Mega Slowbro will be available in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
