A Look at Link's Alternative Costume in Super Smash Bros

A Look at Link

The latest Miiverse update for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games, reveals a secondary costume for Hylian hero, Link.

The new games will allow certain characters to don a different outfit, for example Little Mac will be able to shed his gear in favour of a wireframe model and Villager can swap gender. Joining the beefy boxer and Animal Crossing star will by the Legend of Zelda series protagonist, Link, who will be able to wear a costume inspired by Skyward Sword.

The Skyloft gear, a cream outfit with tribal emblems, is worn by some of the students in the academy, and Link will wear something fairly similar in an alternative costume. The model will still be the same, but will offer something new for series fans to use.

Hmm a few artistic liberties taken, though i cant help but feel a new different model wouldn't of been asking too much. It ends up looking like a fan retexture for a brawl hack and also makes me less hopeful other costumes would appear like a proper water tunic or fire tunic, more like TP rather than recolours like OOT.

I'm still hoping that some of the veterans will get an alternate costume of some sort. It'd be really weird if only certain characters had alternate costumes and others didn't.
