FUNimation has acquired the Western rights to the full-length film, Bayonetta: Bloody Fate.
The publisher confirmed that the film will be coming to North America and Canada, penned by the folk who created Afro Samurai Ressurection, studio Gonzo, plus director Fuminori Kizaki. Kizaki is a guest of honour at this year's Anime Expo, which takes place between 3rd and 6th July, and will be showing a teaser of the English-dubbed version of Bayonetta: Bloody Fate.
Originally released in Japanese cinemas last November, the film is intended to be an adaptation of the first Bayonetta game, with varying plot and cosmetic changes to suit the format.
