Toys R Us Offering Mario Kart 8 with 40% off Extra Game on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Over in the US, Toys R Us are offering discounts on a second Wii U title after purchasing Mario Kart 8.

Those who grab a copy of the game (at $59.99) will receive a 40% discount on any Wii U title of equal or lower price than Mario Kart 8. Potential second games could include the sublime Super Mario 3D World, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, Pikmin 3 or any of the available Nintendo Wii U titles that are within the price range.

Good deal but I already own all the Wii U games I want that have been released so far.

Does this work for preorders for future games? I would assume not...but I will investigate and report back!

Yeah let us know what you find, if it is applied to paying of a future release then I may switch my preorder of Watch Dogs, Smash Bros Wii U or Bayonetta 2 from GameStop to Toys R Us.

It appears to only be for released games, unfortunately.
