The latest Nintendo 3DS firmware update has issued an addition to the parental controls options.
As well as the usual improvements in stability and general user-interface tweaks, the latest version (7.2.0-17) includes the ability to register an email address incase a parental PIN number is lost or forgotten. An email can then be sent across to parents/guardians in order to reset the PIN at any time.
As well as the parental tweaks, "minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user's experience," Nintendo said in the firmware notes.
