Tomodachi Life Coming to US, Europe on June 6th - New Trailer, Nintendo Direct

Nintendo of America and Europe have announced a release date for the popular life simulator Tomodachi Life on 3DS.

With "Tomodachi" being the Japanese word for "friend," the game brings together Mii characters, allowing fans to customise voices and personality quirks, playing out in a manner of quirky, emotive and amusing situations in an "alternate reality". Parents could become famous rock stars, a teacher could turn into a fashion runway star, your best friend could go to space, documented and sharable by the 3DS Image Share service.

Nintendo have put together a hilarious example of how the game could work, using Miyamoto, Iwata, Shibata and Aonuma in a range of seemingly impossible situations:

Players can reward their Mii characters with in-game gifts, food, clothes and more, to help these virtual avatars live out their lives on 3DS - anything could happen! Popstar Christina Aguilera will also be available as a Mii character at launch.

The game is launching 6th June on 3DS.
