Cult County Gets Kickstarter Campaign, Moves onto Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Renegade Kid has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Cult County, with the horror project now aimed at multiple platforms.

Pitched as "new first person survival horror game", Cult County aims to bring a slice of the episodic story-telling of The Walking Dead, with more traditional horror titles like Silent Hill and Resident Evil.

Players step into the shoes of a chap known as Gavin Mellick, who sets out to find his sister to break the news that their mother has fallen ill. When reaching his childhood home, 6 hours across Texas, he encounters a cult group that's moved into town and winds up in an unexpected dark turn.

Backers will be able to vote on enemy designs, music, sound effects through polls and will also get a mention in the game itself.

Originally planned for 3DS, Cult County has expanded to Wii U, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, PS Vita and Steam, with 3DS possibly becoming a stretch goal depending on interest. The project would require $580,000 in funding to be produced.
