Google has teamed up with Pokémon to create a unique April Fool's prank on a global scale.
A video for a fake job listing highlight's the company's amusing vision of having trainers wander the world to "catc h" Pokémon using smartphones. The concept is, unfortunately, an elaborate April Fool's prank.
That said, there is a game that fans can play on Google Android or iOS devices - by using the Google Maps app today (and on April 1st), players can catch their favourite critters in a Pokédex like Drgonite and Luxray.
To catch 'em all, grab your Poké Ball and the newest version of Google Maps for iPhone or Android. Then tap the search bar, "press start," and begin your quest.
