A New Toki Tori Game Would be Highly Unlikely

Two Tribes co-founder Colin van Ginkel has confirmed that a return to the fan-favourite Two Tribes franchise is highly unlikely.

In an interview this week, van Ginkel recalled less-than-expected sales for Toki Tori 2+, which has resulted in a decision that the newly reformed studio is "not going to be making a new Toki Tori game, ever." As for the adorable chicken, "he'll be back in some Easter egg probably, but we are moving on and taking on other genres."

Back in January Two Tribes dissolved the development studio, keeping the parent publishing body intact. The unfortunate loss of key staff members has resulted in a smaller team with a more targeted focus.
