A Metroid Prime-esque first person adventure has been announced for Wii U called Sync.
Developed by Dead Pixel Entertainment, the studio have only been crafting the concept for two weeks, however felt it was the right time to announce the project.
The game is pitched as a "first person adventure game that focuses on exploration and discovery", where players are popped into a world with minimal direction, having to scuttle about and uncover just what's wrong with the place.
We believe humans are smart enough to figure things out for themselves, so instead of bombarding them with tutorials and linear gameplay, we created a world simple enough to navigate with a compass.
In terms of atmosphere and design, players will be "exploring a world devoid of life", with everything organised and running along fixed paths - "the opposite" of Metroid Prime's direction.
Sync is planned to be available on the eShop by the end of the year.
What are your thoughts on the Sync concept?
