A Look at the Child of Light RPG Mechanics on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Ubisoft's stunning painted RPG adventure Child of Light has gotten a new trailer to explore some of the game's mechanics.

Due for release in 2014, the new project uses the UbiArt framework from Rayman Legends, and weaves a new 2D turn-based RPG engine into the mix. Following a girl from 1895 Austria, Aurora, the adventure takes her into a mythical world when she falls asleep - one which had its sun, moon and stars stolen by an evil queen. The young girl sets out to save the world, recovering lost celestial bodies and reuniting with her father.

The new footage demonstrates the side-on approach, together with how Final Fantasy-inspired battles will work in Child of Light.

So long as this is a Nintendo exclusive (& REMAINS EXCLUSIVELY Ubi!!!!) OR HAS equally released content & dates to the other 2 systems I'll check this out. If Nintendo misses out on this one or they get insulted by Ubisoft's lack of courtesy then they won't get my money.

I'm done being forced to support sony against my better judgment & putting up with childish dev companies.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422

PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U at the moment - though a bit weary about the Wii U version potentially getting the chop...

It better not be or else I'll be boycotting Ubisoft & speaking loudly of this company's poor moral standing...which is a shame because I like the Assassin's Creed series.

Oh well hopefully they understand why Rayman Legends did so poorly & will work to get better Karma from Nintendo.

Simply amazing how people can produce such beauty. I sort of watched this trailer in disbelief. It looks like a dream...

Pitty theres no 3DS version. Much like Bravely Defaults towns, this could be really nice in 3d.
