Zelda: Wind Waker Video Wins YouTube Challenge on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has selected a YouTuber as the winner of the heated Wii U Video Challenge.

Hey Ash, Whatcha' Playin? (HAWP) was the winner of the challenge with the video "The Wind Waker" chosen from a selection of various different creators who used key Wii U titles like Super Mario 3D World and Zelda: The Wind Waker HD in their projects.

The entrants were each given a week to produce videos as part of the contest, and were collectively viewed more than 1.5 million times.

The HAWP team will work with popular producer Freddie Wong to produce a video inspired by Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and shown in the Nintendo Chalet during the Sundance Film Festival on January 16th.
