Classic Legend of Zelda Character Appears as Assist Trophy in Smash Bros on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo has resurrected a much loved character from The Legend of Zelda as an assist trophy in the new Super Smash Bros.

Bright-eyed and rather creepy, Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, will appear as an assist trophy in the upcoming game - as revealed on Miiverse earlier today. Director Masahiro Sakurai noted how he's "not a new fighter" for those hoping to duke it out as the pint-sized villain.

It's uncertain what Skull Kid does, but presumably it involves the moon coming crashing down, much like Snorlax in the previous games.

Absolutely going to buy Super Smash Bros, afterall the ratings are all good. Oh wait, these ratings have been made months before the game has released, how stupid are they?

Apparently some fans are angry by this news, because they were hoping for a playable Skull Kid. -_-'

He was making fun of the two reader scores in the game summary between the article and comments. Smilie

All of the character models in this game are gorgeous!

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

Do love the art style in the characters, but the environments to seem a little murky in textures (grainy/low res in places it seems)

Playable Skull Kid could have been good, but his moveset may have been fairly limited/generic imo.

Most likely that purple screaming barrier that he does in MM pushing players off the stage. I don't see the moon one happening.
