Indie developer CrashGem Studios has met its Kickstarter goal for the adorable indie RPG Churbles, with consoles including Wii U.
Pitched as an adventure/RPG featuring "cute, but tough heroes", the game is a 3D action game that's heavily inspired by classics in the genre like The Legend of Zelda (in particular Four Swords), Final Fantasy and Pokémon.
As well as an adorable, furry cast and single player story, there'll be a range of multiplayer co-op, for up to four players, and extra challenges. Starting from the Guild Hall as a base, players select a location for their Churble warriors to embark on, with dungeons/locations open and free-roaming. Enemies can be fought freely within the world, or can be avoided as with games like Chrono Trigger.
The game has been successfully funded and is planned for release on Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac.
