Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Help 3DS Main Japan Lead on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are still dominating the charts in the latest sales figures from the land of the rising sun.

The figures for Japan for the week ending the 27th of October highlight a continually strong performance for both games, with Pokémon retaining its top spot lead. Elsewhere in the top ten for Nintendo platforms was Monster Hunter 4 in forth place and Sentouchu Densetsu no Shinobi to Survival Battle in eight.

There were no Wii U titles in the top twenty.

The Pokémon lead also helped the Nintendo 3DS continue its hardware success, with the console topping 100,000 units for the week. The Wii U, however, sunk to a dire 2,598 units, eclipsed by the older PSP hardware.
