Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympics out November 8th in Europe on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

With heavy amounts of snow anticipated, Nintendo have confirmed a date for Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

The latest collaboration between hedgehog and plumber, Sonic and Mario, features 16 different Olympic events plus an additional 8 Dream events to enjoy. Competitive local multiplayer and a new online multiplayer featured are all primed for release.

Nintendo also highlighted the new Legends Showdown feature, where 20 characters join together to take on multiple events. It's down to players to decide which one to tackle the next, aiming for a spiffy trophy at the end of it all. There's also the Action & Answer multiplayer feature which flows in the style of a TV quiz show.

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games launches on Wii U on 8th November.
