Petit Computer Mark III Heading to 3DS eShop on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

An updated version of the Petit Computer software will soon be released for the Nintendo 3DS.

The tool, a downloadable app on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, allows players to program and learn to code in BASIC and develop practically anything within the app space itself. The upgraded Mark III version includes support for up to 999,999 lines of code, colour coding, four source multi-editing, copy/paste functionality and a palette for easy colouring.

There'll also be support for the Circle Pad and 3DS input - microphone, camera, etc. Developer SmileBoom also suggested that there may be the ability to incorporate 3D effects, but this particular feature has yet to be announced.

Are you a programmer? Would you use Petit Computer on the Nintendo 3DS?
