The latest Wii U firmware update allows players to run Wii games on the Wii U GamePad, here's a quick look at how it works.
Earlier this week Nintendo rolled out the second of two major system updates for the new home console, incorporating a variety of improvements, performance boosts and a surprise expansion of the Wii functionality.
Players are now able to use the GamePad touch-screen almost like a portable TV for Wii games. The sensor bar is in place and software can be controlled using a Wii Remote as normal, but there currently isn't support for the GamePad's own buttons or touch-control unfortunately.
We decided to try out the functionality and see how Wii games run on the smaller screen.
Will you use the Wii U GamePad screen to play Wii games?
