Mighty Switch Force! 2 on Wii U Due to Fan Pressure on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

WayForward has revealed that there originally weren't any plans to release Mighty Switch Force! 2 on the Nintendo Wii U.

The main reason for the move to Nintendo's home console in addition to the core 3DS platform was because the "the Mighty Switch Force! community has been very vocal" on Miiverse, according to an interview with James Montagna during PAX.

He highlighted how the Hyperdrive Edition of the first game was more of an experiment, but because of feedback the studio "caved" and are working to release the sequel on Wii U. Mighty Switch Force! 2, Montagna said, won't be "quite like Hyperdrive Edition or anything like that", instead it will be a "pixel version of the game with high-definition interstitial screens".

The Wii U edition is expected at somepoint during October.

What are your thoughts on the news - would you prefer Mighty Switch Force! 2 to be like Hyperdrive?

...instead it will be a "pixel version of the game with high-definition interstitial screens".

What the hell does that mean? Smilie

Suddenly, I'm feeling very disappointed. Smilie
