The latest Nintendo Direct, which focused on Monster Hunter 4, expanded on the game's online connectivity features.
Alongside new details of costumes for Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda, the development team from Capcom also went into details about the game's online multiplayer component. Friends are able to leap into the action from the friends-list, however there'll still be the option to create individual parties or find other rooms.
When seeking out public quests, hunters will be able to filter these by skill and difficulty level to find something more suited than a random adventure. There'll also be a chat function which allows players to tap away with fellow hunters within a lobby, or use pre-selected options for a quicker exchange.
Other tidbits included another look at the ability to jump, a story feature plus a glance at the different NPC folk to engage with in Monster Hunter 4.
