Rumour: Special Edition Zelda: Wind Waker HD Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

A leaked trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD appears to confirm a special edition hardware bundle for the upcoming Wii U game.

It's been rumoured to be on the cards, and this latest footage - which outlines the game's Hero mode features - shows a spiffy new look for the Wii U GamePad at the end. It's uncertain though whether the decoration would be embedded onto the controller itself or come as a decal/sticker.

Nintendo has yet to confirm the bundle, but the video has been re-hosted thanks to the speedy folk at NeoGAF.

Sounds cool, but I think a gold Wii U would attract more sales. Also, Nintendo really needs to get someone else to do their commercials. They are so... lackluster. 

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

Agreed. I would so be all over a Golden Wii U - couldn't afford one, but defo would bring extra sales. I think that because the WIi U is underperforming, they have to play it a bit safe with the theming - low cost methinks

The gold Zelda trim on the Game Pad is subtle, but beautiful. I wish my Game Pad had that!
