Capcom have confirmed this week that Monster Hunter Frontier G is heading to Nintendo Wii U this December.
The hugely popular MMORPG, Monster Hunter Frontier G was originally released for PC in 2007 and with an Xbox 360 version more recently. The new Wii U and PS3 versions of the game will run on their own servers, including a "G3" update that's due to launch on the service later this year.
The team are also considering adding "something fun" that could be done with the Wii U GamePad or perhaps connecting to the 3DS - but aren't making any guarantees.
At its core, Frontier G is an upgraded version of Monster Hunter 2 with internet capabilities; a core online-only experience "packed with so much content that you'll never be able to digest it all", says director Tatsumi Kimoto.
The service will begin on December 11th on Wii U, with a free beta period a week ahead of the launch.
Capcom also released the first snippet of the upcoming game in action.
