Capcom have outlined plans for the publisher's 30th Anniversary, starting with the launch of a dedicated website this week.
The force behind Resident Evil and Mega Man was originally founded in June 1983 and this month marks the company's 30th Anniversary in the games business.
To celebrate, Capcom will launch treats on the Anniversary website over the coming weeks, which will include the ability to pop the publisher a message that will be published on the homepage, notes from Capcom employees plus company history.
There'll be a 30th Anniversary exhibition at the "Huis Ten Bosch" theme park with events also taking place in different Capcom arcades. In terms of games Capcom will be releasing commemorative titles in the future, together with social anniversary features on the company's growing fan-based network.
In related news, a listing for a Capcom 30th Anniversary Character Encyclopedia has appeared on Amazon US, slated for release this October. The coffee-table book is packed with 208 pages on "every major Capcom character", together with artwork, background information and notes on Capcom's numerous franchises.
