NIS America, the North American publishing arm of Nippon Ichi Software, saw several high level departures on Tuesday. Jack Niida, producer, Hiroko Kazashi, Vice President of Production, and Nao Miyazawa, Vice President of Marketing, have departed to found their own indie publishing company named Acttil. The new company will focus on games and digital content for PCs, consoles, mobile, and web platforms.
NIS is the maker of such popular games as Disgaea, La Pucelle Tactics, and Prinny. No word yet on which, if any, titles Acttil has in plans, nor on which platforms. NIS gave no comment on the departures.
