Fire Emblem Boosts Nintendo 3DS Sales in the UK by 49%

Fire Emblem has summoned new followers in the UK, increasing sales for the Nintendo 3DS by 49% last week.

The latest entry in the popular strategy series from Nintendo and Intelligent Systems, Fire Emblem: Awakening, launched with an exclusive bundle and cemented itself in the UK top 10.

According to Official Nintendo Magazine, sales increased by 49% during the week ending 20th. Sales for the limited-edition Fire Emblem 3DS XL accounted for 31% of all 3DS hardware sales in the last week.

Also in the UK top ten is FIFA 13 in sixth position, Call of Duty: Black Ops II in seventh plus spooks and scares with Luigi's Mansion 2 dropping down to the eight position.
